Sets are Disjoint if no two of them have any element in common.

Informal Definition


Disjoint sets do not share any elements

Example(s)


$\{A,B,C\}$and $\{D,E,F\}$ would be Disjoint as they have no elements in common

Non-example(s)


$\{1,2,3\}$ and $\{3,4,5\}$ would not be Disjoint as they have the element $3$ in common
